Nature's gifts
The typical child in the Lao countryside knows many birds; some by name, some only by sight.
This photo book fills two purposes. First, it helps both children and adults learn more about the world of nature. Knowing the name of an animal is an important step toward understanding its role in the ecosystem.
Second, by providing an opportunity to learn the names of familiar birds, it appeals to children just learning to read.
