Solving problems
Puzzles aren't just fun to solve. They can sharpen the mind in certain ways. Solving puzzles, a child learns that problems which may at first seem impossible will yield to steady effort.
Some of these challenges will be familiar to puzzle-solvers elsewhere: Matchstick arrangements, sudoku, and number sequences. It also has some new ones, including Lao crossword puzzles... no small challenge when a word may include letters that are stacked vertically as well as horizontally.
