Big Brother Mouse

Book party: Book parties are one way that Big Brother Mouse gets books to children in rural Lao villages. In primary schools we read from books, play games, sing songs, and have a drawing lesson. In high schools, we have a different set of activities. At the end, every student gets to choose a book, usually the first book they've ever owned. Then we give more to the school, for their library or classroom use.

High schools and middle schools such as this one (519 students) rarely have indoor space big enough for the whole student body, so much of the book party takes place outdoors.
